Cafe point-of-sale

Flutter POS for a busy Saturday — orders, cash, shifts, history.

Problem

An independent bubble-tea cafe needed an operating surface that covered real Saturday volume: drink customization, cash with daily rollover, shifts, and history — not a generic tablet checkout.

Constraints

  • Cross-platform (iOS/Android) with Square / Apple Pay / Zettle
  • Shared Postgres catalog with kiosk and menu-board siblings
  • Client identity anonymized; builds and outcomes are real

What shipped

A Flutter POS against Postgres with Square Mobile Payments, Apple Pay, and Zettle. Order entry with full drink customization, cash register with daily rollover and discrepancy tracking, shift attendance, and historical reporting. Paired later with self-service kiosk, dual-screen menu board, and a FastAPI receipt-printer service.

Outcome

In production for the cafe’s daily ops. Studio work that shows the same production bias as the clinical and CX systems — just in hospitality hardware.
